The highlight of any visit, whether for holiday or a day trip is DINNER. Yummy! This time again, we had dinner at the Steamboat Restaurant. It has a spectacular setting facing the very well landscaped garden, with view of the trees, thick foliage and exotic plants. I personally feel that this is important because we are not only feeding our bellys but feeding our senses as well. The cool, refreshing seabreeze does wonders for your appetite!
And because my investor friend is a vegetarian, we opted for vegetarian food comprising of fresh mushrooms, green vegetables and mock vegetarian food. Check these out, guys!
The Food & Beverage Executive recommended us this place called Ganofarm Homestay in Tanjung Sepat, about 15mins drive away from Sepang Goldcoast. I was so tickled by the name in Chinese – 寶芝林 – which romanised translation means ‘Poh Chi Lam’ – named after the famed 19th Century Chinese traditional medicine practitioner and pugilist, Wong Fei Hung.
Tanjung Sepat is primarily a Chinese dominated community. Ganofarm fronts the same Straits of Malacca and is cozy, breezy and has a restaurant that offers fresh seafood. Since my investor friend is a vegan, we went looking for fresh mushrooms instead. There is a shop within the Homestay that boasts of a variety of mushrooms, lingzhi (靈芝) and other lingzhi-derived products like face cream, coffee, tea, essential oils and many more!
The steamboat dinner commenced at 6:30pm and we had Ken and Chen Kok for company. Hey, even the chilli sauce is homemade by the Steamboat Restaurant! Tastes great! By this time, I believe SGC will cater more and more for vegans and health-freaks. Probably in the near future when there is a demand for holistic foods, we can see the likes of lemongrass tea, lavender tea and other health foods.
